For over 30 years, our family has lived on and cared for this beautiful 6.5-acre site. What began as a private home has grown into a premier Luxury Glamping & Touring Retreat in Nottinghamshire, meticulously designed for those who want to truly unplug and unwind.

Named after the historic “Dukeries” district of North Nottinghamshire – a region famous for its historic ducal estates – we continue that tradition of prestige with a modern, outdoor twist. Whether you’re staying in our boutique yurts or arriving at our unique VIP tourer pitches for caravans and motorhomes, you are joining a story decades in the making.

Luxury Boutique Yurts

For those seeking a curated escape, every yurt includes a private wood-fired hot tub or Jacuzzi and a personal bathroom. We provide everything you need to unwind, including a firepit with a cooking griddle, all bedding, and outdoor furniture. For extra indulgence, towels and dressing gowns are available as optional extras.

VIP Touring & Motorhomes

Experience the UK’s only VIP touring pitches, where your caravan or motorhome is paired with total privacy. Each pitch features its own wood-fired hot tub, a private garden bar, and access to a dedicated, private shower room and toilet with underfloor heating located within our facilities block. It’s the prestige of the Dukeries, enjoyed from the comfort of your own setup.

Hot Tub Starter Kit

Enjoy a warm welcome with a complimentary hot tub starter kit, including logs, kindling, and firelighters. If you would like your hot tub pre-lit for arrival, please select this under ‘Extras’. Please note your starter kit is used to begin to heat the hot tub, which typically takes up to 2 hours, depending upon the time of year.

What a place, we came here a few years ago and had a great time then….and the site has been improved further since to make it even more comfortable and luxurious. The new tents are large and homely, the kitchen areas attached to each area are well kitted out and the amenities and indoor areas around the site in case of bad weather have grown. We had the most amazing time at The Dukeries Retreat in Retford! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The setting is beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and ideal for a family getaway. Our accommodation was spotless, stylish, and super comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break.
The hot tub was definitely a highlight — such a great touch and perfect for unwinding in the evenings! The facilities overall were fantastic, and you can tell real care and thought has gone into making the retreat feel special.

It’s great for groups, as we’ve always done, but you would feel you had all the privacy in the world if you went on your own. The owners are really lovely and accommodating and so helpful whenever we’ve had questions. I cannot believe how comfortable the beds are either, I had the most glorious sleeps there. What an absolutely stunning location. Could not have enjoyed my morning tea more if I tried. Sunsets blew me away and that hot tub…Dreamy!

The owners were incredibly helpful . Storage was more than enough and it was spotless. The yurt itself had so much space and having two active boys this is truly saying something. It was so cosy, with extra blankets, hot water bottles and an electric fire available for those colder nights.

On location, the boys loved the playground to burn energy, I preferred the pizza oven but my husband’s favourite would definitely be the BBQ.

Only 10-15minutes away from Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest for those wholesome family days out.

As a family of 4, it had everything we needed and more. If you’re considering Glamping for your next family holiday, Dukeries Retreat should be at the top of your list.

Overwhelmed by the attention to detail not experienced within other sites.  Nothing was too much trouble and we found the location fantastic.  There are 3 eating places nearby - all very different but would satisfy everyone ! Use of our own private bathroom - wow ! Never had that before - amazing !!!! Hot tub if desired - well the icing on the cake xx loved it snd we will be back xx thank you so much for making our anniversary so special xx

And the kids loved playing on the grass with a small playground. It was a bit noisy during a windy rainy night, but the fresh morning air was super wonderful😊
